This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for….

Your trunk is packed and galleons clink in the pockets of your robes. Your sleepy owl hoots in her cage impatiently. You strain your eyes through wreaths of frothy steam to see that bright engine winking as it approaches platform 9 3/4. Clutch your tickets tight, young students! We are off to Hogwarts this summer and bound for adventure at last!

Join Miss Emily and Miss Megan Andrews for a long-awaited book club on J. K. Rowling’s classic fantasy series. In 7 weekly sessions, we will walk with Harry through his harrowing coming-of-age drama and relish the brilliance of Rowling’s world. In addition to our regular hilarity and hijinks, we can’t wait to unpack the transcendent themes at the heart of this drama, which promise to make this series an enduring classic.

Class Schedule and Reading Assignments

Discussions will be held on Tuesdays at 9:00 AM Pacific / 12:00PM Eastern and run between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Students should come to each discussion having read the assigned story in full.

N.B. We recommend that students start their reading before this course begins to prepare for the longer books toward the end of the series.

Class #3 - July 23rd: The Prisoner of Azkaban

Class #4 - July 30th: The Goblet of Fire

Class #5 - August 6th: The Order of the Phoenix

Class #7 - August 20th: The Deathly Hallows
